Membership in the Tidewater Tracking Club is open to all persons
eighteen years of age and older who are in good standing with the
American Kennel Club, and who subscribe to the purposes of the Club.
While membership is not restricted as to residence, the Club's primary
purpose is to serve breeders and exhibitors within the Hampton Roads
(Virginia) area.

Membership dues are $35.00 annually, and are payable on or before the
first day of September of each year. Applicants for membership shall
apply on a FORM approved by the TTCVA Board of Directors, and which
shall provide that the applicant agrees to abide by the Constitution and
By-Laws of the Tidewater Tracking Club of Virginia, and the rules of the
American Kennel Club.

held every other month on a Sunday. Meetings begin at 7pm. We
alternate between the Peninsula and the Southside of Hampton Roads,
and meet at the homes of members or other locations. Please contact for meeting times and locations, as well as for
membership information.

Tracking Practice
Generally, informal practices for members are held in the cooler months
of autumn, winter, and early spring on the weekends. We usually meet in
the historic Yorktown Battlefields, although it is not uncommon for
members to meet up and track in varying locations for different
experiences. We are very fortunate to have a wealth of expertise within
our club, and experienced members are always willing to help people who
are just beginning the sport. Be prepared for any and all kinds of weather
- as the long as it is safely possible to enter the field, dogs are able to
track - and we do! Practices typically last around 3 hours (sometimes
longer, especially with more advanced dogs), and is usually followed by
group members heading to a local restaurant for lunch and camaraderie.
Practice is free for members, however, it will be necessary to purchase a
Yorktown Battlefield membership card. Parking permits are provided as
part of TTCVA membership.
